Good Pizza, Great Pizza: The Ultimate Walkthrough (Chapters 1–5)4
I went into this game thinking it was a simple pizza sim. Make the order, get paid, move on. That assumption fell apart somewhere around Chapter 2 when I realized I'd been missing investment opportunities worth hundreds of Cash and locking myself out of rewards that don't come back.
This walkthrough covers every chapter's key moments so you don't have to figure it out the hard way.
Chapter 1: Taking Down Alicante
Five ingredients are free from the start: Dough, Tomato Sauce, Cheese, Pepperoni, and Eggplant. Everything else costs Cash. Before you start spending, you must understand the festival schedule.
The Chapter 1 Festival Schedule
During festivals, customers order the featured toppings at a much higher rate. Buy the ingredient 1–2 days before the window opens to maximize profit:
- Day 4 (National Half Day): Starter ingredients only.
- Day 9 (Sausage Festival): Buy Sausage (20 Cash) after Day 3.
- Day 14 (Mushroom Ceremony): Buy Mushroom (35 Cash) after Day 5.
- Day 19 ("O" Festival): Buy Olive (50 Cash) after Day 8 and Onion (70 Cash) after Day 11.
Essential Character Encounters
- Buddy (The Homeless Man): He visits 6 times. Feed him every time (a simple flatbread cut into 6 slices is enough).The Payout: On Day 21, Alicante is defeated, and Buddy gives you 100 Cash.
- Eleanor's Plant: On Day 4, accept the plant from Eleanor. Water it every day. * The Reward: On Day 8, you unlock Eggplant for free. If you let it die, you'll struggle with the Basil Steward in Chapter 2.
- Veggie Man: Visits on Days 9, 13, and 18. Give him a vegetarian pizza each time for a 50 Cash bonus on the final visit.
Chapter 2: The Six Steward Trials
The main story revolves around six sequential trials. You cannot skip them. Here is the "cheat sheet" for their orders:
- Anchovy Steward: Half Anchovy, half nothing. (Unlocks "Something Fishy" achievement).
- Basil Steward: Split by how they grow.Side A (Underground): Mushroom and Onion.Side B (Above ground): Olive, Bell Pepper, Basil, Eggplant. (Do NOT add pineapple!)
- Pork Steward: Pepperoni, Sausage, and Bacon on the whole pizza. Ham on one half only.
- Wheat Steward: Cheese pizza on Wheat Dough.
- Pineapple Steward: Sauce, Olive, Bell Pepper, Pineapple, and Eggplant. (No Cheese!)
- Peppertiti: Wheat Dough with Cheese, half Mushroom and half Pineapple.
Rufus Goldworthy’s Investments
Rufus asks for money twice. Do not take the first repayment.
- Ask 1: 100 Cash for Pizzapedia. (Returns 50 Cash). Refuse the 50 Cash to maximize the next payout.
- Ask 2: 150 Cash for a "startup" (ZaZoom).The Payout: Returns 340 Cash if you let him keep the first 50. Net gain: 190 Cash.
Chapter 3: The PizzaCon Finals
Chapter 3 is all about PizzaPalooza. You are competing against 13 judges (look for the emblem on their shirts).
- Preliminary Judge (Veggie Man): Wants a full Vegetarian pizza (Sauce, Cheese, and every vegetable/fruit you own).
- The Finals (Confusing Orders):Flammkuchen: Cheese, Onion, Bacon. (No Sauce).Pissaladière: Olive, Onion, Anchovy. (No Sauce, No Cheese).Pro Tip: If a
judge asks for it "Well-done," run it through the oven twice.
Chapter 4: BDP & Price Hikes
This chapter introduces the Garden and the corporate investigation of BDP.
The Branching Story
Your choices determine your trophy:
- Expose BDP or Béchamel: Reward is the WPA Plaque.
- Keep it Quiet: Béchamel gives you a Record Player.
Strategic Advertising (Dr. Price)
When ingredients spike in price, use the corresponding ad to push customers toward cheaper items:
- Classic meats spike: Go Veggie Ad
- All meats spike: Meatless Lover Ad
- Fruits/Veg/Mushrooms spike: Meat Lover Ad
- Green toppings spike: Crimson Flavor Ad
- Everything spikes: Fresh Produce Ad
Chapter 4 Payouts
- Elliot St. Claire: Always pick PizzaToken. You invest 250 and get 500 Cash back. (Rocket returns only 250).
- Sasha: Donate a total of 200 Cash across her visits. She will return 300 Cash plus Garlic, Tomato, and Jalapeno seeds.
Chapter 5: The Ancient Dough Mystery
The final chapter is a detective story. You must find the Ancient Dough and collect 7 Stone Tablet pieces.
Key Puzzles
- The Suspects: You must harvest 300 Figs for Alicante and 300 Zucchini for Cicero to progress the investigation.
- Octavia’s Diary Code: Enter 564 to unlock it (based on the artifacts in the main room).
- Stone Tablet Pieces: Found by checking the Artifact Room (cracked wall and pedestal), digging in the Garden, and receiving them from Peppertiti, Alicante, and Cicero.
How to Defeat Julius Cheeser
This is a 3-day process. Do not mess up the dough!
- Day 1: Half Tomato Sauce, half Cheese. Freeze and box. (No Pesto!)
- Day 2: Add Fig, Zucchini, and Artichoke. Freeze and box.
- Day 3: Freeze the dough three times, cut into 8 slices, and box.
